U.S. Ambassador Maria Brewer signed grant agreements

On October 12, U.S. Ambassador Maria Brewer signed grant agreements totaling $60,000 with eleven community organizations working to improve economic and social conditions at the local level through the Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Program. The funds will support projects in nine districts to help them withstand economic and social hardship. The projects will provide agricultural inputs for rural farmers, training to successfully manage green houses, fish and honey farming, and capital for small businesses to recycle discarded waste into useful products that create local jobs, and generate income.
